If you want to know how to bike better
or perhaps even to ride a mountain
bike for the first time, make tracks to the
Skoda vRS Bike Arena at the back of
Hall 2 to see some of the best bikes on the
market in action – you can even have a go!
The skills sessions at the Bike Arena are
open to everyone – from youngsters just
starting out to keen adult cyclists. With
expert coaches and a great obstacle course
to work on, this is a unique chance to
combine great learning with great fun. By
the end you’ll be able to ride better, safer
and over (or under!) all kinds of obstacles.
The team at the Bike Arena will be made
up of some of the UK’s most experienced
mountain bike instructors (from CycleActive)
working alongside top mechanics and cycle
experts (from Specialized). This is a unique
chance to be fitted with a state-of-the-art
Specialized bike, then learn how to really
use it with the best professional tuition in
the country. You can also get loads of tips and advice to help you ride better, smoother and safer when you get home, too.

One of the UK’s best Mountain Bike Aerial Demonstration team, MAD, will be
showcasing their newest, most exciting and dangerous tricks. Come and see what
can be done with mountain bike and a lot of adrenaline.
Twentyminute
sessions are running
throughout the day with qualified
coaches from the Scottish Mountain
Bike Leader Association (SMBLA) and
British Cycling, along with CycleActive,
the biggest trainer of mountain bike
skills to adults in the UK. So you too
can learn to ride a mountain bike and
have fun. There are even starter
sessions for children on how to ride
with stabilisers. There’s no need to
book, just turn up and enjoy riding
state-of-the-art bikes provided by
Specialized.
